Kędzierzyn-Kole
Kędzierzyn-Kole is one of the most dynamically growing business hubs in southern Poland. The town is situated at the crossroads of transportation routes connecting large urban areas of Upper and Lower Silesia. It has convenient access to road, railway and water-borne transportation routes. Kędzierzyn-Kole's strength is its central location - it lies only 300-400 km away from six European capital cities: Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.
Kędzierzyn-Kole is also an important railway hub situated along major domestic and international routes. The town has convenient road access. The construction of a ring road section has recently been completed. Kędzierzyn-Kole also has convenient access to A4 motorway in the village of Olszowa.
The town is intersected by the Oder river and Gliwicki Channel which create convenient water-borne access to the Upper Silesian Industry Area and Western Europe. The technical parameters and infrastructure of the town's river ports facilitate reloading and storage of cargo.
Kędzierzyn-Kole's industrial traditions and well-developed, modern infrastructure make it a highly attractive location for investors. The town is territorially extensive and has a variety of diverse land plots with full infrastructure to offer to domestic and foreign investors on very convenient terms.
Kędzierzyn-Kole is a friendly town for entrepreneurs, in particular businesses creating new jobs. The local authorities have developed a special package of tax concessions and other benefits for investors. Kędzierzyn-Kole has already attracted vast amounts of foreign capital, including German, British, Dutch and Greek. The town hosts several of the largest chemical plants in Poland.
To further the town's development, the local authorities decided to take a combined public and private initiative to create the Kędzierzyn-Kole Industrial Park. The park provides a favourable environment for business initiatives that create new, permanent jobs. The park will support the process of restructuring the economy of Kędzierzyn-Kole and the entire region.
It should be noted that six companies seated in Kędzierzyn-Kole made it to the list of 1500 businesses referred to as the "driving force of the Polish economy".
